TEC 1 & 2 Birthday
Two birthdays that turned a Southern California community into a platform — year one announced the directory, year two launched the first version of TheEventCommunity.com.
TEC turned one on August 8, 2021, a year after starting as a Southern California community for event creatives. The first birthday post looked back at a year of growth and announced what was coming next: a directory website, a TikTok launch, and a rebuilt Instagram — alongside a one year recap reel and a birthday cake by Cocoaberry Cake Co.
Year two was about meeting the creative people who make up the community in person — hearing their stories, their struggles, and their dreams. That year TEC launched the first iteration of its website, so people could find, connect, and book local vendors and services for Southern California events. Vendors joined free, with a launch sale on Pro.
The second birthday shoot was a collaboration with Prisca's Events Decorations, a family run business out of Corona serving Southern California: backdrops, marquee letters, decor, and balloons, with cotton candy from Cotton Candylicious and labels by Craft Art Maniac.
