There had to be a better way...
I didn't set out to build a tech company. I set out to solve a problem I'd experienced myself.
After producing multimillion-dollar experiences for brands like Google through Jack Morton, I kept running into the same problem. The event industry is filled with incredibly talented people, but finding the right partners still depends on Instagram, spreadsheets, referrals, group chats, and endless DMs. Relationships drive this industry, yet there was no technology built around them.
That's why I started The Event Community.
I've spent years watching incredibly talented businesses lose opportunities, not because they weren't great at what they did, but because they didn't have the technology to operate and grow like larger companies.
What began as a way to connect event professionals quickly grew into a trusted network of thousands of relationships and hundreds of event businesses. The more we listened to our community, the more we realized this wasn't just a networking problem. It was an operating problem. The industry didn't just need another marketplace. It needed technology that helped small event businesses operate like professionals. That's when I realized we weren't just building a community anymore. We were building the future of how the industry operates.
That's when Naji and I came together.
We've been close friends since college, and together we saw an opportunity much bigger than either of us could solve alone. I brought years of firsthand industry experience, relationships with thousands of event professionals, and a deep understanding of how event businesses operate. Naji brought the technical vision to turn that insight into scalable software. Together, we're building the platform we both wished existed, and the one the industry had been missing.
